If you want to use this calendar as a 24-pack Christmas calendar, you need to place 24 numbers and buy 24 rings yourself, as there are 4 rings in the package.
Calendars are embroidered with split DMC yarn, 3 threads on 7 thread Floba, which is most similar to embroidering on linen.
Here you embroider over 2 threads both horizontally and vertically. There are 3.5 stitches per cm, so the fabric is fairly coarse and easy to embroider on.
This is also a calendar that doesn't take quite as long as embroidering on a fine Aida.

The embroidery kit contains:
Floba embroidery fabric with 7 threads per cm, i.e. 3.5 stitches per cm. Floba consists of 33% linen and 67% viscose and is super nice to embroider on. DMC mouline yarn, needle, 4 red rings, count pattern with colors and symbols.
NB: You'll need something for hanging, such as a 6mm round stick bought cheaply from a DIY store. You'll also need sewing thread for mounting and a string for hanging.
