Mohair is the name of the hair of the Angora goat. The younger the animal, the finer the hair. The baby goat's hair (Kid Mohair) is the finest.
Mayflower Super Kid Silk is a soft, elegant and luxurious yarn consisting of a blend of 76% mohair and 24% silk. Super Kid Silk is a feathered yarn that can be used to knit smaller models such as shawls, shoulder warmers and tops. The mix of mohair and silk makes the yarn delightfully light and delicious to wear.
Super Kid Silk is also perfect with a follower thread in e.g. merino wool.
