Jaipur Peace Silk is a thin silk yarn for needle 3 with a fine matte sheen - ideal for lightweight blouses and accessories.
Eri silk has a nice sheen but is not as shiny as mulberry silk because the thread is not infinite, but it is just as heavy and therefore falls beautifully.

On an Eri silkworm farm in northeastern Thailand, the raw material for this wonderful silk yarn is harvested in a completely cruelty-free way: the cocoons of the Eri silkworm, which is a different breed than the mulberry silkworm, spin a different kind of cocoon. The worm "eats its way out of the cocoon" and flies away before the cocoon is harvested by hand. The cocoon is then boiled to obtain the precious thread. The mulberry silk cocoons are boiled with the silkworms inside to obtain an endless thread.
Be aware that silk typically tends to get a little bigger after washing as it is not elastic.
Hand wash as follows: use a neutral shampoo (e.g. minirisk or Neutral) and finish with a rinse in water with a little vinegar.
