Mohair yarn

Mohair yarn is made from mohair wool from the Angora goat. The wool of the Angora goat is thinner than sheep's wool, and the wool in mohair yarn is somewhat reminiscent of silk in the structure. Mohair is often used alongside other fibers, such as in Kid Silk which is a combination of the soft wool from the angora goat and silk. It provides the luxury yarn that most of us associate with mohari yarn. Mohair wool is slightly less soft than merino and cashmere, but has the fluffy effect which is so nice in knitted blouses. Mohairuld, like the other wool types, has very good temperature regulating properties, and is also stretchy and durable. Mohair is quite expensive, and is primarily used in luxury products.
