Alpaca yarn and llama yarn

Alpacagarn and llama yarn are like woollen yarn from sheep really popular for yarn making.

The Alpaca (or Alpaca) lives in South America, and is closely related to the llama. The alpaca will be barely 1 meter high, and is thus smaller than the llama.

The alpaca delivers, among other things, in the Andes, where there are large temperature fluctuations. It works on the wool, which almost works heat regulating.

The wool from the alpaca is thinner and smoother in structure than sheep's wool. It provides a finer yarn that is incredibly soft and warming.

The llama is larger than the alpaca and has a slightly coarser coat. The wool from the llama, like the alpaca wool, is thinner and smoother than the sheep's wool.

You will find both Alpaca yarn and llama yarn in pure 100% varieties, and in mixtures with e.g. sheep's wool. Lamagarn we have among other things as Llama Silk, which is a mixture of llama wool and silk. Alpacagarn we have in Alpaca Superfine Fino
